Well anyone who talks to me for ten seconds knows I can’t work on a single WIP at a time. As of this moment my folder contains 3 pieces with 5-10K words, 2 pieces with 3-5K, and 2 with about 1000. What can I say; it’s crowded in my head.

One of my favorite current works is currently untitled. It takes place in an alternate world and follows Nara, a once human (now part werewolf) battle fighter and her self-conflict to lay the blame of her current fate on those who truly deserve it.

My struggle with this piece is in ensuring I have truly given readers a dynamic environment that they can both feel and see as they read it. That and not making my editor grumble over commas!

Here is a sneak peek, but remember it’s still rough and unedited…..

Lightning lit the sky and rain soaked her to the bone as she finally reached the gates of Haden City. Nodding to the guard as he came forward to check her papers and open the gate she smiled slightly as she heard him speak to the other man stationed with him. She was glad the flash of light had cloaked her in a pale ghostly glow already stirring whispers. Fear was a very powerful tool and one she’d learned to wield very well in her solitude.

“Hell has sent their own to this battle, perhaps we are all damned.”

Her horse continued the grueling walk through the wet sludge that passed once for streets, the large stallion seemingly sighing with relief as they reached the stables. Already nearly all the stalls were taken, as she led him into the last remaining one and paid the man running it for both the use of the tiny space and grain and hay to keep her only companion comfortable.

As for the other stories hiding out in my folder, Gargoyles Girl is the one with the pressing deadline. You can look for its release in November. It is a Paranormal Ménage story that I think my readers will enjoy.  As you might have guessed from the title is has a pair of sexy male gargoyles and one audacious female raver that team up to save the world from a new breed of hell spawned demons.

Now if I could just get all the voices in my head to cooperate and my muse Lyssa to stop encouraging the chaos I might get things done.

Wow I am so sorry that I have fallen a bit behind on here.

It has been a crazy summer to say the least. I have taken classes, started a whole house renovation, and had some personal tragedy.  Now with any luck that is all behind me!

So what's New???

  • Several new title releases
  • New cover art
  • A new joint venture
  • New WIPs

NEW RELEASES:

Crimson Alliance:

Since the death of her mother at a very young age, Torn has always felt unwanted and out of place in a werewolf society that places you at the bottom of the pack regardless of your heritage. It also makes her a great pawn for being traded to any wolf in need of a mate in exchange for whatever her grandfather might decide he wants or needs. Wanting no part of that, Torn has decided to make a run for it. Too bad she was a day late in getting started. Now she has two of the sexist twins she has ever seen eyeing her as a potential mate.

James and Josh are destined to be co-alphas of their clan back in Georgia, but their true destiny lays with the dark haired female with blue eyes and a jagged scar running down one side of her face. From the moment they see their intended female, both know coming for her at the request of the Alpha was the best move they’d ever made. Now they just need to convince her of it.

The road back to the red clay of Georgia and to a family Torn never knew she had is bound to be a hard one, especially when someone else has the pair of hot twins in their sights and a group of werewolf hunters seems to always be just around the corner.

Crimson Hunter:

Ethan Bright is a rogue werewolf out to find the alpha female who's not only strong enough to satisfy his desire for love, but who will help him reestablish his pack. One glimpse of Rosy O’Donly and he’s certain he's found her. But there are a few problems with his plan. To start with, she's part of the Hunters, an organization whose sole mission is to wipe his kind off the face of the earth. Secondly, there's the issue of her stalking coworker, clearly he isn't what he seems.

Rosy has some issues of her own that Ethan makes all too real. Never knowing what it’s like to have a real family, friends, or something to truly call her own, he's the one person who makes the life she's always wanted seem like a real possibility. Of course she has to be willing to leave behind everything and everyone she's ever known.  Even if they can make it work, it might not matter.  Her leaving won't be that easy.

Zombie Bait 2:

It’s been a year now since the zombies overran the world and laid ruin to life as we know it. Now just as mankind once again sees the opportunity to regain a foothold, a new nightmare arises as a large number of the undead are undergoing a terrible metamorphosis. Can a former marine now spending his days as part of the reigning military survivalist rescue the woman who saved him from certain death and perhaps find a little room in her heart?

Tory had accepted the idea of being alone long ago. It was easier not to make connections and risk the pain of loss. When a whimper and scratch at her small shelter door lands a marine and his k9 partner in her lap, she might need to rethink that plan and help find a way to battle to the cities only remaining stronghold for humans before they all become zombie bait.

Watch for covers and other Info SOON!!

Coming April 3rd for Rebel Ink Press

High Tide
Before the world we know rose above the waves, there was another. It is a world of magic, myth, and mayhem with Atlantis as its crown jewel. Ruled by brother’s Kia and Finn, it was a place of i...ndulgence and indifference to the rules of humanity, until they allowed their pride and pleasure to rule them. Too late, they discover their triviality would curse all of Atlantis to an unimaginable fate.
Alana Merrick always felt more at home with sand between her toes than shoes on her feet. Now calling the small islands off the coast of Belize home, she is living her dream. Little does she know the peace and relaxation she finds beneath the waves is about to become very turbulent. As the present and the past collide, Alana may find that there are fates worse than death and the lines between fact and fiction are blurry.
You might never look at Atlantis the same way again…

Meet My Muse......

February 22, 2014

Please allow me to introduce my muse..... Lyssa

Most readers that have paid a visit to an author site or watched the chatted on any of the social media sites has heard writer mumble one time or another about their muse.  What is a muse exactly you ask?

Much like the millions of otherworldly creatures (elves, fairies, ...) a muse is the embodiment of a writers inspiration and internal voice. They stir up the ménage of characters running around in the authors head so that they can come to life on the pages.  Muses (like authors) come in a variety of attitudes, voices, and temperaments. It is their mood that guides the words and story.

My own muse, Lyssa, has an attitude and voice all her own and in the weeks to come she plans to become an active contributor to this site and my other social media connections!

February 12, 2014

Welcome to the Party!!

Sorry this was late getting posted but it has just been one of those weeks!  Thinking of the title of this hop and what to write about I thought I would touch on LOVE (the real kind). I like many folks made a mistake in my early years and jumped into marriage with someone I "loved". Several years of spending nights alone, working two jobs because he could not hold down one and I said enough. Now in reflection I know it was not what happened between us that ended that marriage but what didn't. I can say that now because I truly understand what it feels like to LOVE and be LOVED.

The first round, something was lacking. It was that feeling of warmth that runs your spine when that special someone walks into the room or says your name. There wasn't that feeling of absolute trust and belief, or the contentment to simply cuddle on the couch doing nothing at all. No smiles for no particular reason or kisses on the forehead.

In those days I lost who and what I was trying to be someone who my less than significant other would love. Now I understand that real LOVE is accepting someone (faults and all) for who they are and all that they become.

In retrospect what was there the first time was not LOVE but what I in my youth thought it was suppose to be. I do not regret a single thing good or bad) from that time period in my life because not only did it give me my wonderful daughter but it taught me what love and life was not. It (like every ones life story)molded me into the person I currently am and showed me how truly precious real LOVE is. I have found my heart and soul in my Husband Kenny and he has taught me LOVE is a living, breathing thing that like all life requires nurturing to survive.

ALL RIGHT ENOUGH MUSH!!

LETS TALK BOOKS AND PRIZES!

This hop is giving readers the opportunity for amazing prizes! so Be certain to visit all the authors for your chances to win!

As for my personal prize...... I will give one lucky commenter this snazzy swag package that includes several Info cards, bookmarks, keychain, mini note book, bracelet, and one of my new FB cards.

So tell me it there one event in your life that gave you the best lesson on LOVE?

Cali James was your typical stereotype twenty-one year old. Her life revolved around cruising the streets of her small town and the occasional party. That’s why she’d been looking forward to biggest Halloween Party to hit the community in history. Catching a quick nap before getting ready had all been part of the plan. How else would she be ready to rock all night?

Well I have dived into the NANO waters.... a little different for me considering I specialize in short stories and it is considered to be for Novels. I however like to look at things differently so I am doing word count based on 2 new short stories. I'm still not keeping up with the "expected" word count but I'm having fun with it which is the important thing, that and the fact I will hopefully have 2 new pieces in the end. I have even designed a bit for one of them to help my motivation. (see the sexy image for Killing Demons!)

For those of you wondering about my work...well... I must apologies for being slow on the new release part. I am in the final 3rd of a whole house remodel and between that and work I don't get the time I want or need to get serious writing. My characters are really pissed about it too.  We (my husband and I) are hoping to have it wrapped up and back into the house (we've been crashing at the in-laws since August) before Christmas. SO fingers crossed I can get some new stuff out for 2015!!

I do have a rerelease coming...Four Beneath the Mistletoe will be released by Rebel in Dec. It was originally out with Silver but did not do great so I'm hoping it gets a second chance at life!

October 27, 2014

Rebel Hop

However, the moment she opens her eyes she knows something is not right. In the span of a few hours everything and everyone she ever knew had changed. Now with the community’s newest transfer, Trent, she has to find a way to escape the madness and danger that waits around every turn.
